Home Prices Continue to Soften. Here’s Where They Fell Most.

Home price growth inched closer to zero in January, according to one closely watched measure released Tuesday.

Home prices tracked by the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Home Price Indices continued to cool January. Prices in the national index fell a seasonally-adjusted 0.2% from December, and gained an unadjusted 3.8% from the year prior—the smallest such gain since December 2019.
