Lionel Messi signs $20 million deal with digital fan token company

As global sports personalities flock to the crypto world Lionel Messi, a world-class footballer, has signed an agreement worth more than $20 million with digital fan token company The contract will see Messi promote the company.

It is not the first time Messi is being involved with cryptocurrencies since his move from Barcelona to Paris St Germain included a crypto payment.

According to the deal signed with Socios, Messi will be involved in a publicity promotion campaign for Socios in the build-up to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar that is scheduled to start in November.

Legendary sportsmen and women moving into crypto

Messi is the latest among a growing list of legendary sportsmen and women flocking to the crypto world. Recently, NBA star LeBron James and NFL quarterback Tom Brady entered the crypto world.
