Avalanche partners with Amazon Web Services to boost blockchain

Amazon Web Services and Ava Labs have teamed up to improve access to the Avalanche blockchain.

Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon that provides on-demand cloud computing platforms, has announced a partnership with Ava Labs, which supports the popular blockchain network Avalanche. The partnership will allow individuals and organizations to launch and manage nodes on Avalanche and improve the network for developers.

AWS will support Avalanche’s infrastructure and decentralized application (dApp) ecosystem through its marketplace, offering one-click node deployments and including Ava Labs in the AWS Activate program, which helps startups and early-stage entrepreneurs access AWS services.

“We have over 500 applications on the chain and we would love to give them a better experience and now we have a real partnership that we can direct to the Activate program. On top of that, our users are always looking for a better experience. The one-click node is an incredible way to do it.”

John Wu, President of Ava Labs

The partnership also means that Ava Labs will join the AWS Partner Network (APN), which allows Ava Labs to access hundreds of thousands of partners.

In addition, Ava Labs will also offer its Subnet deployment for scaling as a service within the AWS marketplace. According to Wu, hundreds of subnets are set to be deployed throughout 2023.

This partnership marks a significant development for AWS and Ava Labs, as well as the whole blockchain industry. Ava Labs’s CEO and founder, Emin Gün Sirer, said, “We’re still in the early stages of enterprises and governments building on-chain.” With AWS’s support, Ava Labs hopes to accelerate blockchain adoption across enterprises, institutions, and governments.
