How Cardano To Strengthen Ecosystem With New Partnership

Cardano developer Input Output Global (IOG) recently partnered with iceaddis to support its ecosystem. The partners launched Ariob as part of an incubator scheme that will improve the growth of those projects supported by Project Catalyst.

The Project Catalyst is a program created for the Cardano community to propose ideas and initiatives. The community selects their favorite programs, and the creators receive financial aid to execute their idea.

Created as a 5-month incubator program and support for Catalyst, Ariob will boost these projects by providing them with professional business consulting, training, market linkage opportunities, and seed investments, according to its official website.

In addition to IOG and iceaddis, the incubator scheme is supported by Entreprenerdy, a Bootcamp operating as a pipeline for Ariob. IOG said the following on this launch:

This strategic partnership is designed to enhance the growth of projects funded by Project Catalyst, Cardano’s innovation engine, and offers high potential Catalyst start-ups access to venture-building expertise and resources to help develop products that solve real-life challenges in Africa.

Africa has been an important region for IOG and the Cardano ecosystem. The company has been training people, working with local governments and companies to deploy programs leveraging the power of its network.

As Bitcoinist reported in 2021 and announced during the network’s Africa Special, IOG partnered with World Mobile. At the time, the partners set out to provide internet for over 250,000 people in the region. The cooperation uses IOG’s Atala PRISM solution based on the Cardano network.

Now, IOG continues with its efforts to provide the 1.3 billion people in Africa with access to financial, educational, identity, and governance services. The company believes the continent is poised to quickly embrace new technologies because people lack “allegiances to legacy systems”.

In that sense, the Cardano ecosystem and its users can benefit from further adoption. Besides its collaboration with World Mobile, IOG announced a partnership with the Ethiopian Ministry of Education to provide 5 million students with academic credentials.

The Future Of Cardano Is Connected To Africa?

Charles Hoskinson, founder, and CEO at IOG has claimed on several occasions that Africa has the potential to produce an “economic miracle” and catch up to larger economies, such as China and the United States. This “miracle” could be supported by Cardano.

In that sense, incubator schemes are crucial. Initiatives like Project Catalyst and Ariob provide projects in Africa with not just economic tools, but educational and entrepreneurship tools to boost the growth of the ecosystem and its sustainability. IOG added the following on their latest launch:

the Ariob incubator, where a select number of projects will be chosen to join a support program running through the first half of 2022. This program offers services aimed at realizing creative potential, testing ideas, and using prototypes to find the best product. Ariob will also help connect projects with educational institutes, government organizations, NGOs, and local companies.
