Adidas Partners With Ready Player Me To Roll Out Avatar Creation Platform Based On AI 

  • Adidas has taken another move on its journey towards Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and Metaverse. 
  • The Sneaker Giant has announced its collaboration with Ready Player Me, an avatar platform for the metaverse. 
  • Adidas plans to launch an AI-generated avatar creation platform featuring the Adidas Originals’ Ozworld shoe collection very soon. 

The Sneaker Giant, Adidas is constantly taking steps forward toward Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and Metaverse, as the company recently announced its collaboration with Ready Player Me, 

Ready Player Me is a cross-application platform for avatars and is designed particularly for the virtual world. The technology facilitates folks to explore varied metaverse worlds with a single identity. 

Avatars’ First Instalment To Roll Out In April End

This move by Adidas is linked to its division Adidas Originals’ Ozworld shoe collection. The futuristic sneakers by the name Ozworld were initially launched in the nineties and featured a dynamic adiprene cushioned outsole and upper. 

And with this collaboration with Ready Player Me, the fans will be facilitated to create metaverse avatars that use the Adidas Ozworld brand. 

According to Adidas, every unique avatar would be able to traverse the web via a bespoke partnership with Ready Player Me. And that this is the first brand collaboration that pushes the limits of the platform and offers interoperability with generative avatars across 1500 varied metaverse games and apps. 

Adidas and Ready Player Me will collectively launch the platform for personality-based AI-generated avatar creation featuring the Adidas Originals’ Ozworld shoe collection. And it has planned the launch for April 8, the members of Adiclub and the Adidas NFT holders would have the early access to the metaverse, and further, the launch of the avatars’ first instalment is planned on April 28

Concerning the new concepts like NFTs and Metaverse, the Sneaker giant is not hesitant at all, as last year, in November, it announced its collaboration with The Sandbox and Coinbase. And right in the next month, the company partnered with the popular NFT project Bored Ape Yacht Club.

Following which, Adidas launched a collection of NFTs in partnership with other NFT collections, PUNKS Comic, Bored Ape Yacht Club, and Gmoney, an influencer in the crypto world. Furthermore, the company’s Adidas Originals NFT compilation was among the top NFT projects with respect to sales volume. 

With these previous instances, the sports mammoth has already placed its step into the metaverse. Adidas’s presence in the metaverse is an indication towards how vital the metaverse is. If organisations this big are considering doing business in this sector, there must be something that is pushing them to stay.
