Velodrome and Aerodrome DEXs Say Funds Are Safe After Frontend Hack

Velodrome and Aerodrome said via their X accounts that “protocol funds are safe, contracts are unaffected.”

Decentralized exchanges Aerodrome and Velodrome were hit with attacks to their front-ends. The DEXs say that funds are safe and directed traders to only used mirrored links to their front ends.

Velodrome and Aerodrome said via their X accounts that “protocol funds are safe, contracts are unaffected,” and said users should ensure they are accessing the DEXs only via http://velo.drome.eth.limo and http://aero.drome.eth.limo, and not through any other link.

“To be clear, do NOT use the link in our Twitter bio. The link [provided] is a mirror and is safe. Only use that one for now,” both teams said.

Velodrome is the largest DEX on Optimism, with $140 million of total value locked, while Aerodrome is the largest DEX on Base, with $63 million of TVL. Optimism and Base are Ethereum Layer 2 scaling networks.

Earlier, both teams had warned that their frontends are compromised and asked users to not interact with them for the time being.

On-chain analyst ZachXBT reported that around $40,000 in funds were moving, traced back to two different wallet addresses.
