Ukrainian Outlets Want to Raise Funds Through NFT Sales

Three Ukraine-based news media companies — Ukrainska Pravda, Novoye Vremya, and NGO announcer Hromadske — want to raise about $1 million by selling a non-fungible token (NFT) collection.

The collection is called NFT Keys, which features 10,000 unique digital collectibles for $99.99 each. The Ukrainian media companies created this collection on Vault, and at the time of writing, only 30 NFTs have been sold.

Owners of the tokens will have access to original stories from Ukraine, per Press Gazzette.

The so-called “NFT Keys” collection, according to Vault and Press Gazzette, will “provide access to content from the publication’s brave team of journalists, photographers, and editorial team, including photos and videos, links to stories and recommended readings, a special weekly email blast for supporters, and more”.

The main goal behind the sale is to raise funds for continuing media operations in Ukraine in the middle of the invasion. Furthermore, they will raise $999,900 if the whole collection sells out.

According to the editor-in-chief of Ukrainska Pravda, Sevgil Mysayeva, his outlet “was the second most popular website in Ukraine after Google.”

“About eight million people around the world read us every day. We feel our responsibility to inform the world about the current situation in Ukraine truthfully and in time,” Mysayeva said.

Crypto donations for Ukraine
