SHIB holders think the tweet is an update for Shibarium.

The SHIB community is eagerly anticipating the launch of Shiba Inu’s layer-2 (L2) network, dubbed Shibarium. The anticipation has prompted SHIB holders to believe all mysterious tweets from the development team are referring to Shibarium.

In a recent tweet, a top Shiba Inu developer, “Shiba Trophias” updated the community about the progress toward releasing an unnamed project.

“Trophias” noted in the tweet that “time is ticking” for the project’s official rollout.

According to the top developers, Shiba Inu has made significant progress toward the project’s launch, including completing the project’s version 1 design. He said the development team of Shiba Inu is currently “finalizing the content” for the anonymous project. He added that the team intends to launch the project in phases to aid “the content flow.”

Community Thinks it’s About Shibarium

The community’s anticipation for Shibarium made them believe that Trophias was referring to the upcoming L2 network. While Trophias did not indicate whether the update was for Shibarium, a Twitter user noted that the tweet was “the first time a SHIB team member has talked about shibarium’s real thing.”  Responding to the user, Trophias said the update could refer to the entire Shiba Inu ecosystem rather than just Shibarium.

In a similar development, Shiba Inu’s lead developer Shytoshi Kusama also shared a mysterious tweet last month, as the community thought he was referring to Shibarium.  “Initial design approved. Now I can double down. Let the debris show itself as the flow of kindness and truth washes over the world,” Kusama tweeted.

Shibarium’s Expectations

It is not surprising to see many SHIB holders think Trophias’ recent update was referring to Shibarium. The L2 network has been on the minds of SHIB holders as they expect its rollout to take Shiba Inu to greater heights and further help the cryptocurrency shred its meme coin title.

The community only knows that Shibarium’s update is around the corner. However, the team has refused to give an official date for the L2 network’s launch to avoid disappointing SHIB holders if the project does not go live as scheduled. Shibarium’s public testing was initially scheduled to launch in Q3 2022. However, it was pushed as a result of development delays. The development team has refused to give a specific date ever since.
