Sam Bankman-Fried Testify Before House Committee On Dec. 13

Sam Bankman-Fried News: Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried said he is willing to testify before the U.S. House Committee on Financial Services on December 13. However, he said there would be limitations to what he would be able to say due to lack of information. In a series of tweets in reply to Congresswoman Maxine Waters’ tweet. SBF said he will be talking about FTX US’s solvency and the U.S. customers.

SBF Testimony On December 13

The FTX co-founder would also speak about the potential ways that could lead to returning user funds globally. In an interesting mention, SBF said he would also shed light on his “own failings” and what he thinks resulted in the crash. Earlier, SBF said he needed time to review what really happened before coming forward to explain before the House. Interestingly, he said he might not be able to appear before the committee by the designated date of December 13. He also spoke in his tweets about how he thought was perceived to be before his company collapsed.

“I had thought of myself as a model CEO, who wouldn’t become lazy or disconnected.”

Congresswoman Waters said the FTX collapse affected more than a million people. She added that SBF testimony would be meaningful to the Congress as well as the American people.

In this context, the FTX Token (FTT) took a major jump on Friday. As of writing, FTT price stands at $1.76, up 30.47% in the last 24 hours, according to price tracking platform CoinMarketCap.

Meanwhile, SBF also responded to Binance CEO CZ allegations of threats over the pulling out of investment in FTX. The former FTX CEO described CZ’s claims as lies, while stating that his company did not want Binance as an investor.
