On Tuesday, the team behind popular dog-themed memecoin Shiba Inu (SHIB) took to Twitter to reveal the official name and logo of its upcoming NFT-based play-to-earn (P2E) game.
Shiba Inu Unveils Shiba Eternity
Dubbed “Shiba Eternity,” the game developers noted that they are currently working on a testing schedule for the game but gave no specific date as to when the test will take place.
As a mobile game, Shiba Eternity will run primarily on iOS and Android devices and will be available for download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
A Multiplayer P2E Game
The team hinted at the development of the game for the first time late last year. At the time, they announced that their first P2E game was already being developed and would be launched soon. Since then until now, no specific date for the launch has been disclosed.
However, in the latest announcement, the team highlighted some details about the game. For instance, they noted that Shiba Eternity would be a multiplayer collectible card game (CCG), integrated with Play-to-Earn (P2E) elements. Also, players in the game will be able to make in-app purchases with the rewards they earn.
Shiba Inu Unveils SHI Stablecoin
Aside from Shiba Eternity, the Shiba Inu team is planning to launch a stablecoin called SHI. According to the announcement, SHI is an experimental stablecoin that will be pegged to U.S. dollars.
To maintain Shi Coin’s Peg to USD, Shiba Inu are looking to develop a new reward token, dubbed “TREAT.” TREAT will help Shi Coin maintain its balance as a stable token and at the same time, serve as a reward for its other products.
Shi Coin is still being developed. Its developers plan to release the stablecoin later this year at an unconfirmed date.
