Monkey Empire is a free-to-play MMO-RTS (Massively Multiplayer Online Real-Time Strategy) video game. If you are into MMO-RTS titles like Clash of Clans and Guns of Glory then this is the game for you.

Usually, the currency in a traditional MMO-RTS is created by developers, but in Monkey Empire the value is shared between the players and MonkeyCoin (MKC) holders.

In Monkey Empire, you have to manage monkeys in order to build an Empire. To do so, you will have to collect resources, make technological progress, raise an army and attack other player cities to loot their resources, making you even stronger.

But here is the trick, one resource, the MonkeyCoin, is a cryptocurrency, meaning you’re going to compete and loot each other an in-game resource that has a real value

Players will have to fight one another in order to acquire this great resource and become the most powerful in the monkey empire. 

What you need to know

Monkey Empire was developed using Unreal Engine 5, a famous game engine and AAA standards of the gaming industry making it part of a small percentage of Blockchain powered games to do so.

Players will get to experience a complex game economy that puts the token at the centre.

There will also be two types of NFTs. These being cosmetic and ingame NFTs. 

Cosmetic NFTs can be acquired outside of the game on NFT marketplace or inside the game during special events. You can show it off to other players.

Ingame NFTs can be acquired thanks to the Research Center building, which will qualify players to make technological advancements to conquer their enemies. 

How to build an empire 

• Acquire more resources by improving your production sites.
• Train your troops however you see fit. 
• Defend your village from intruders.
• Create a marketplace that allows interaction with the Blockchain where transactions of resources and NFTs will take place.

Q2 2022

• The Alpha version of the game is currently private, the public version will be made available in a few weeks. 
• The Alpha version of the game will be open to the public. 
• Beta 1 will include: – Testnet NFT integration, an infinite map accompanied by level streaming scalable implementation  and building upgrades. Beta 1 is targeted to be released in June 2022.

Q3 2022

This will introduce the beta 2 version of the game.
