Ether and related tokens have surged in value as investors anticipate the potential approval of an Ether Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) following the expected green light for a Bitcoin ETF in the US. Ether hit a price of over $2,400, representing a 5% increase in 24 hours. However, Bitcoin dipped due to fake tweets from a hacked SEC account. Lido’s LDO and RocketPool’s RPL saw gains of up to 17% before retreating, while tokens associated with layer 2 networks such as Mantle’s MNT and Optimism’s OP also saw significant increases.
