Over the previous four weeks, BitMEX has added 14 cryptocurrencies to its platform. This comes as it prepares to compete with more established exchanges.
Since September, additional coins have been added including $TRON, $USDC, $SOL, $FTM, $DAI, $BUSD, $SHIB, $AAVE, $WTC, $MANA, $SAND, $CRO, $FTT, and $OKB. It follows the company’s initial venture into non-crypto products in August, when it released FX perpetual swap contracts, allowing customers to trade more than 20 contracts connected to foreign currencies.
BitMEX CEO Alex Höptner stated in a statement that it was a strategic decision to move beyond derivatives and fulfil market expectations.
