Apple and Major League Soccer Sign 10-Year Streaming Deal for All MLS Matches

Apple Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL) and Major League Soccer (MLS), the top American soccer division, have signed a 10-year deal. Within this partnership, Apple TV will exclusively streamline all MLS, Leagues Cup, and select MLS NEXT Pro and MLS NEXT matches.

Apple and Major League Soccer Deal

Starting from 2023, soccer fans can get every live MLS match by subscribing to a new MLS streaming service via the Apple TV platform. The content will be available on the Apple TV app will be available to anyone with internet access across all devices where the app can be found. It includes iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV 4K, Apple TV HD, Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Sony, TCL, VIZIO, and other smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV, Roku devices, and more.

Notably, all MLS and Leagues Cup matches will include announcers calling the action in English and Spanish. Besides, all matches involving Canadian teams will be available in French.

Major League Soccer is the fastest-growing soccer league in the world. Over the last 15 years, it has expanded to 29 clubs. With its players representing 82 countries, the league has the most global player pool in all sports, and its fan base is one of the youngest, most diverse audiences in North American sports.

For Apple, the deal with Major League Soccer is the second time of stepping into live sports broadcasting. Earlier this year, Apple started streamlining Friday Night Baseball. It is available on Apple TV+ in the United States, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Korea, and the United Kingdom, and will expand to additional countries later.
