Art Gobblers Climbs The Peak
Non-fungible tokens are trying to make their path into the mainstream art industry. People have seen NFTs like Beeple’s Everydays going for as much as $69 Million in auctions. The hype is so extreme that people in the entertainment sector are inclined to do experiments with the unique concept. Recently, Rick and Morty’s co-creator Justin Roiland initiated Art Gobblers, an NFT project, which instantly became a hit on OpenSea.
According to Justin, he wants to create a decentralized art factory by joining forces with the community, NFT, and GOO token, the native cryptocurrency of the ecosystem. Users can easily visit websites where they can create a gobbler art of their own on a digital canvas.
Users can mint the art through a simple process. They require GOO tokens to do so, which folks can earn by holding Art Gobblers NFT. They will create pages that will serve as a blank canvas to them, where they can show their creativity and send it to the Art Gobblers’ stomach for “digestion.”
Other Collections on OpenSea
Apart from the Art Gobblers, other NFT collections making it to the top on OpenSea includes Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Otherdeeds by Otherside Metaverse, Cryptopunks and more. According to LunarCrash, a crypto data aggregator, Bored Apes’ social contributor count has surpassed 72K in the ecosystem.

Currently, BAYC had a trading volume of 5.69 Million in the last 7 days according to DappRadar. The NFT collection remains the most admired collection among biggest celebrities internationally including Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Steve Aoki, Jimmy Fallon and more.
Cryptopunks recently became the first ever NFT collection to make their way to the Guiness Book of World Record. They marked their debut as the most expensive NFT collection following the sale of CryptoPunk #5822 for 23.7 Million USD on February 12, 2022. Matt Shadows, the lead vocalist of Avenged Sevenfold (A7X) says he admires the collection and holds Punks in his digital wallet. Beeple’s Everydays was eliminated due to its development around pre-rendered templates.
Otherdeed NFTs, the digital land parcels on Otherside metaverse, saw a rising activity on the ecosystem with 7.59 transactions and 4.98K Unique Active Wallets (UAW) in a month. Yuga Labs has unveiled the First Trip Demo of the metaverse, but has remained silent regarding the official release of Otherside metaverse full version.
The NFT sector was going through a downturn following the cold crypto market. Currently, the cousin sisters of cryptocurrencies have a total market cap of 17.7 Billion USD. Many experts are bullish on a few segments of the sector including music NFTs. According to research, musical elements in non-fungible tokens can grow to become a 6 Billion USD market by 2026.
