Madonna Couldn’t Get Her Favourite NFT

Madonna

The S&M King Ape

Global popstar Madonna seems to be very sad regarding a particular Bored Ape NFT. It’s none other than our rainbow-toothed Ape, ‘The Bored Ape  #3756’. This NFT is listed on the OpenSea platform for… Guess what? A whopping 800.69 ETH. This compounds to approximately 1.27 million USD. Madonna told everyone that for a long time, she wanted to get that BAYC NFT. She described the NFT by saying that the NFT represents trippy fur, an S&M hat, a motorcycle jacket, and rainbow teeth.

Madonna stated that she was adamant about acquiring an Ape and pretty particular about what she wanted: the Ape with a leather motorcycle cap on and colorful fangs.  She also said that she was informed that it was created in her likeness and was purchased by a fan of her. She was going to sell it to Madonna, but the price was just too much.

In this scenario, a 2D picture of an ape that also comes with membership perks like apparel, exclusive Discord access, and event access is represented by NFTs, which are distinctive blockchain tokens. The designers of BAYC, Yuga Labs, when asked whether Ape #3756 or its characteristics were fashioned after the singer, said that the Apes aren’t necessarily developed or modeled after someone particular.

Settling for The Second Best

The Yuga Labs staff adores it when people recognize themselves in certain apes. One of the founders’ favorite elements in the collection is the S&M hat. According to Forbes, Madonna has a net worth of 575 million USD and has made 1.2 billion USD over the course of her illustrious career. Madonna finally decided to buy Bored Ape #4988. In March, the cryptocurrency payments company Moonpay transacted 466,000 USD or 180 ETH from Madonna’s wallet in exchange for the NFT.

However, #4988 isn’t a terrible alternative. The ape Madonna owns has the same black S&M cap and colorful fur as Ape #3756. Out of the 10,000 NFTs in the collection, the NFT she wants is rated 123rd, but the one she already possesses is ranked 3,754 according to public data.
