How will Archie Comics’ new initiative NFT writer’s room turn out?

Non Fungible tokens or digital art always seems to be an all-new way to present the portrayal of a subject while being a valuable asset

Several ideas seem persistent regarding cryptocurrencies that were proposed or said by crypto supporters like Chris Dixon. For instance, he takes his opinions when he said that digital assets would allow people to tell their stories collaboratively with the help of nonfungible tokens and get profit from their creative work. However, so far, for a very long time, efforts being made in this direction have been underwhelming.

It often seems that there is really no need for NFTs or requirements to collapse because their operators have not got any thought to go through details. But now, the usual rituals seem to break their pattern when an all new Archie Comics plan showed up.

It is quite intriguing that Archie Comics is planning to create a writer’s room that will be on the blockchain and, more importantly, NFT based. Still, people think after reading its details that it should not turn out to be what publishers are doing.

The comic goes by the name Achievers: Eclipse is a comic that is tied in and pitched as a ‘near infinite storyline that is created with fans.’ As per the announcement and following press releases, it came to know about the project that Archie fans could purchase one of the NFT characters out of 66,666 pre-generated NFTs at a price of about $66.66 per price which is dated to launch on 16th May. The fans can then participate in a series of sessions, including role-playing and puzzle-solving challenges around an ominous prophecy that seems to get inspired by Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Now, these were about NFTs, but what about the writing portion? So regarding this, it has been made clear that in 2022 NFT owners will have access to a submission portal that would work transformative, and they can submit the stories and artwork about their related characters. As per the sources, some portion of this work will end up in a crossover version of the comic that would go by Archiverse Collides #1. In the crossover comic, fans who will participate will get credit and royalties for their contributions.

The title of Achievers: Eclipse sounds more like a version of a sort of puzzle and role-playing that focuses on alternate reality games or ARGs that media companies have often launched for free in past years.
