How much Eminem and Neymar are down on their NFT Investments, know here

  • The declining interest in NFTs and the low in trading volumes have seriously impacted the soccer star Neymar Jr., and a prominent rapper, Eminem, with regard to their digital art buy.

In the start of this year, the Brazilian athlete bought two digital collectibles as part of the Bored Ape Yatch Club for more than $1 million. However, their existing valuation is approx $340,000. Eminem’s paper losses are about $330,000 currently.

In the beginning of this year, Neymar purchased Bored Ape 6633 and Bored Ape 5269 for 159.99 ETH and 189.69 ETH, respectively. When it was bought, the valuation of the art totaled about $1.05 million.

The current crypto winter hasn’t been gentle to the NFT sector, though, Neymar has recorded substantial harm on his investments. As of now, Bored Ape 6633 and 5269 are collectively of $340K value, that means it hangs on more than $700,000 of unrealized loss.

The only rapper who won Oscar in the history, Marshall Bruce Mathers III urf Eminem also connected to the BAYC trend. In the beginning of this year, he bought Bored Ape 9055, whose value was $462,00 at the time of purchase.

Furthermore, Eminem even united with another NFT collector named Snoop Dogg to make a BAYC-based song, which they performed live in this year.

One more celebrity who is into this is a well-known DJ Steve Aoki. The American is well-known as a collector and also a maker of such art in the crypto community.

A few months ago, he bought an NFT part of the Doodles collection of about $350,000. In line with the DappRadar figures, the item is now valued at just $47,000.

Talking about these failed investments, one should note the prominent YouTuber, actor, and social media influencer, Logan Paul.

In this very year, he bought an NFT part of the Azuki collection for $623,000. While currently, it’s value is just $10.

The dispute on Twitter

The crypto community on Twitter was quick to give an opinion on Paul’s financial collapse. Many people dispute that NFTs are fraud and that people should be alert while using them, especially at a time when there is too much hype created.

Even now, some people commented that the YouTuber might retrieve some of his losses in the next potential bull market when the estimation of his NFT could go on the north.

Paul’s failure isn’t restricted only to NFTs. Newly, he confessed being down about $500,000 on his bitcoin and altcoin investments.
