YouTube’s ‘The Try Guys’ Oust Ned Fulmer After Cheating Allegations — Here’s What Happened

The Try Guys, a group of YouTube content creators who started at Buzzfeed and later formed their own production company, announced Tuesday they would part ways with executive producer and founding member Ned Fulmer, who confirmed speculation among fans that he cheated on his wife with an employee of the company.

The remaining three members of the group—Eugene Lee Yang, Keith Habersberger and Zach Kornfeld–released a statement Tuesday announcing Fulmer would no longer be working with The Try Guys “as a result of a thorough internal review,” adding they could no longer see “a path forward together.”

In a separate statement, Fulmer said he had engaged in a “consensual workplace relationship,” and apologized to his fans and his wife, Ariel Fulmer, who was often featured in The Try Guys content.

Fulmer said going forward he will focus on his marriage and children, saying “family should have always been my priority.”

Ariel Fulmer, in her own statement, thanked followers for their support and asked for privacy for the sake of the couple’s two sons.

Representatives for The Try Guys did not immediately respond to a Forbes’ request for comment.

Fulmer has not appeared in The Try Guys three latest YouTube videos, and fans theorized he was edited out of scenes he filmed. Images posted online by a Reddit users purportedly showed Fulmer kissing one of the company’s employees, a production manager, in New York. Fulmer was known for maintaining a “family man” image and even incorporated his wife and children into his content. The Try Guys formed in 2014 wberhile the four members were still producing content at Buzzfeed, and in 2018 left the company to form their own. Social media users discussing the allegations against Fulmer compared the situation to rumors about Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine, who was accused of cheating on his supermodel wife, Behati Prinsloo, by a TikTok user.
