reDRagon Wins AEW Tag Team Battle Royal

John Silver might have been the most popular star in the entire tag team Battle Royal. Orange Cassidy was the most popular star anywhere near the Battle Royal.

A tease between the Young Bucks and FTR received a massive pop. Fans also popped for a showdown between Trent Beretta and Santana, hearkening back to their instantly classic parking lot brawl.

FTR worked this entire match like opportunistic hyenas.

this match came down to a Final six that was basically the alpha members of Santana and Ortiz (Santana), reDRagon (Kyle O’Reilly), the Young Bucks (Matt Jackson), the Dark Order (John Silver), FTR (Dax Harwood) and Best Friends (Trent Beretta). The end came when O’Reilly eliminated Matt Jackson.

After the match, The Young Bucks walked out on reDRagon while Hangman Adam Page was attacking them. Adam Cole tried to come to their aid shortly after.

Bobby Fish hilariously claimed “copyright infringement” after Page used Cole’s “story time” line.

MJF Appears Live

MJF showed up in tears, begging the audience for a moment of their time, indicating an almost guaranteed swerve.

While shouting out his Jewish heritage, MJF asked “We got Jews in the house?”

MJF used ADD and anti-semitic bullying to make himself a sympathetic character, and it (kayfabe) actually worked.

Pac and Penta Oscuro def. Kings of the Black Throne

Penta El Zero M (now known as “Penta Oscuro”) came out under a darker, more ghoulish, gimmick. The entrance included golden shovel. It looks like Malakai Black’s mist has the same gimmick-changing powers that The Fiend did.

Brody King has no business being as fast as he is given how big he is.

Buddy Matthews debuted after this match to a huge pop.

Chris Jericho and Eddie Kington come Face to Face

Chris Jericho bringing security made him the default heel in this exchange. Kingston posed side-by-side with security, endearing himself to fans. He further endeared himself by saying “this is a wrestling company, not a sports entertainment company.”

Chris Jericho just referred to Cody Rhodes as “What’s His Name…” the cold war has officially started.

This exchange was every bit as awesome as advertised, especially when Jericho started taking personal shots at Kinston’s family. There was even a reference by Kingston to Jericho’s “close friend Levesque.”

Ricky Starks def. 10

The crowd was ice cold for this match after an emotionally charged exchange between Chris Jericho and Eddie Kingston.

AEW loves finishes that involve masks, and this was another with Starks tearing at 10’s mask before hitting a spear.

Jade Cargill def. The Bunny—TBS Championship

The TBS Championship is starting to feel like a world title, even above the AEW World Championship.

Jade Cargill used the very fitting line of “who’s next?!” bringing out Tay Conti.

Keith Lee was limited to another backstage segment, but did get a big reaction from the live crowd.

Bryan Danielson def. Daniel Garcia

Excalibur calling this match a dream match was a bit of an overstatement.

This match paled in comparison to Danielson’s match against Lee Moriarty as it featured violent submissions but far less showmanship.

Jon Moxley saved Bryan Danielson from a beatdown from Twopoint0, but they didn’t bleed together just yet. They’re saving that for Revolution.
