Winners And Grades With Bray Wyatt Absent Again

WWE Raw advertise Omos and Brock Lesnar face-to-face as their WrestleMania clash nears, much to the chagrin of the monolithic Internet Wrestling Community.

Though multiple SmackDown stars appeared on Raw, such as LA Knight and Rey Mysterio, Raw did not feature Bray Wyatt, who continues to be conspicuous by his absence. Wyatt did not appear at a live event at Madison Square Garden Sunday night despite being advertised, and his WrestleMania status is suddenly in doubt. Neither Wyatt or Lashley were featured on Raw.

Raw also advertised Cody Rhodes against LA Knight and the team of Johnny Gargano and Dexter Lumis vs. The Judgment Day.

Last week’s broadcast of WWE Raw averaged 1.87 million viewers.

WWE Raw Winners And Grades

The Judgment Day def. Gargano and Lumis

Edge kicked off the show by challenging Finn Balor to a Hell in a Cell match. This won’t main event either night, but may God have mercy on whoever has to follow that.

The Judgment Day proved Edge right from last week as Johnny Gargano had no business beating them. And he didn’t.

Judgment Day vs. Gargano and Lumis Grade: B

Brock Lesnar and Omos Come Face-to-Face

Neither man is a Caucasian gymnast under six feet, so this match does not have the backing of the Internet Wrestling Monolith, but watching Omos and Lesnar face off just felt like a WrestleMania match. I assure you this match will be a spectacle live in a good way.

This was the rare WrestleMania feud that featured physicality as Brock Lesnar tried to suplex Omos, but to no avail. Omos essentially swatted Omos out of the ring before the segment ended.

Brock Lesnar and Omos Grade: B+

Cody Rhodes def. LA Knight

Though LA Knight’s win-loss record leaves something to be desire, it’s a great sign that WWE continues to put him in the ring with its biggest stars. He’s set for a come-up post-WrestleMania.

After Cody Rhodes’ win, Rhodes—who was massively over—cut a great promo saying he wears a suit, not because he is somebody, but because he wants to be somebody.

Cody Rhodes vs. LA Knight Grade: B+

Bronson Reed def. Elias

If Elias and Rick Boogs had any sense, they would manufacture a feud just so they could have a WrestleMania match.

Kevin Patrick dropped the “I don’t get paid by the hour” line early in this match, which tells you just how much of a squash this was destined to be.

Corey Graves does not shout “tsunami!” better than Wade Barrett. Hell, Kevin Patrick gave him a run for his money.

Backstage, Kevin Owens cut a very good promo demanding that Cody Rhodes does not help him in his match against Solo Sikoa.

Bronson Reed vs. Elias Grade: B-

Austin Theory def. Angelo Dawkins

Theory had a backstage exchange with The Street Profits, who ridiculed Theory—unprovoked—about getting buried by John Cena. The Street Profits came off as the heels in this segment.

The Street Profits will be doing their best to add all the credibility they can to Austin Theory. After Cena’s promo from last week, he’ll need every ounce.

The Street Profits are on a surprising list of WrestleMania snubs that currently included Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss.

Backstage, Paul Heyman confirmed Roman Reigns would return to WWE Raw next week to confront Cody Rhodes.

Austin Theory vs. Angelo Dawkins Grade: B

Dominik Mysterio Interrupts Rey Mysterio

I feel like WWE is going to have Rey Mysterio deliver portions of his Hall of Fame speech over the next few weeks. Because he certainly won’t be able to deliver it when they run an angle at the Hall of Fame in April.

Dominik Mysterio hilariously complained that Rey Mysterio got him a BMW instead of a Mercedes. Though he did battle “what” chants, that line received huge heat.

Dominik challenged Rey Mysterio to a match at WrestleMania, but staying true to his word, Mysterio declined. Fans booed when Mysterio said he was not going to fight his own son.

Dominik Mysterio and Rey Mysterio Grade: B-

Seth Rollins def. Baron Corbin

Backstage, Baron Corbin was essentially begging his peers to be part of their WrestleMania programs, and I couldn’t help but feel bad for the guy. The man can still get heat. His downfall was really a self-inflicted wound by WWE, which tried to fixe something that wasn’t even broken.

The finish to this match was an awesome step-up stomp as Seth Rollins jumped off Miz’s back.

Seth Rollins vs. Baron Corbin Grade: B

Bianca Belair def. Chelsea Green

Carmella and Chelsea Green’s chemistry is almost instant.

Similar to Carmella’s match against Bianca Belair, Chelsea Green got a surprising amount of offense and this match went through a commercial break.

Asuka spit up blue goop yet again as Belair and Asuka joins the long list of feuds with limited physicality.

Bianca Belair vs. Chelsea Green Grade: B-

Solo Sikoa def. Kevin Owens

This crowd seemed tired by the main event, and as John Cena may attest, portions of Kevin Owens’ pop sounded piped in.

The first chant of this match was “we want tables!”

Fans popped when Sikoa went under the ring, but booed him when he revealed a chair. Ever the babyface, Kevin Owens brought out the table. Ever the heel, Sikoa shoved it back under the ring.

Kevin Owens took a filthy bump on a row of chairs that elicited (censored) chants of “holy s—t!”

Sikoa led Owens backstage, where he was met by a double super kick from The Usos. The crowd progressively got into one, and they were booing loudly by the end of it.

Solo Sikoa vs. Kevin Owens Grade: B+
