Will Carsola, Adult Swim Co-Creator, Believes In Unlimited Potential Of NFTs

  • Co-creator and artist of a couple of animated shows on Adult Swim, Will Carsola, has modeled an NFT collection based on ETH for Liquid Death.
  • Carousel, as an NFT artist, has blended his signature style of art and implemented it to this project titled Murder Head Death Club.
  • NFTs are distinct tokens persisting on blockchain like Ethereum and represents asset ownership, like, audio, virtual art or even digital real estate.

Will Carsola’s Pessimism Towards NFTs

Will stated to a news website that his interest in NFTs emerged a year back. He stated, his cousin Kevin Oberbauer displayed him with a few generative projects, that’s whether the idea came, and he thought, NFTs have “Unlimited Potential.” And now he is a designer as well as an NFT collector.

Carsola further added that he realized recently that he can solely possess an artwork as NFT and have a tangible piece in his home. But, possession of something on the blockchain is much more sensible in a lot of cases.

Carsola’s “Grimey” style can be witnessed in his collection and works.

He says that, at the time he was serving as a bartender, he used to draw pictures of folks coming into the bar on napkin papers while serving them beverages. And many a time, folks enter the bar just so that he can draw their pictures.

Mutant Ape is his favorite NFT, a branch of Bored Ape Yacht Club but a plethora of biological mutations.

A Fun Collab

Talking about his decision to collab with Liquid Death, he stated that Mike Cessario, CEO of the organization, have a vision with edgy and funny promotions that resonated with him.

He stated that, the notion of an item whose marketing made fun of advertising as well as organizations in general, not just itself.

In spite of Liquid Death’s attempts to appeal to customers as an eco-friendly option to bottled water, the organization got flak on social media during its initial announcement of Murder Head Death Club NFT collection.

The fanbase of Liquid Death wasn’t very happy about that, even after the organization pledged to offset 110% of project emissions. Additionally, Will Carsola said, Murder Head Death Club’s 10% royalties will be used to lower plastic pollution.

The artist says a plethora of backlash revolving around NFTs is because of insufficient understanding regarding technology.

Regarding this, he thinks that most of the hate towards non-fungible tokens is due to a lower understanding of the project. And many folks appear to bring up exaggerated facts regarding their influence on the environment.

He adds that, whenever folks are demotivating him towards the NFT sector, he counters back by supporting the space, as it has massive potential and is in its early stages.

Will Carsola thinks that the NFT sector is evolving at a breakneck pace, and it would be unsurprising for him to see the latest NFT show. He feels that NFT’s potential goes beyond the probabilities of these concepts becoming animated shows. He thinks that something bigger is on the way.
