WhiteBIT Exchange CEO Volodymyr Nosov donated 10 Million UAH to Support Ukraine

On the 8th of May 2022, the CEO of WhiteBIT cryptocurrency exchange Volodymyr Nosov announced on his Instagram that the company donated 10 million UAH to Volodymyr Zelensky’s United24 fund. The funds were transferred as USDT and will be used to help Ukraine during the war and after it. The transaction’s hash was also attached to the post and can be checked by anyone.

Nosov commented on the donation: “We want to call on the crypto community and all those who are not indifferent to unite for raising funds for military and humanitarian support and the rebuilding of Ukraine.”

From the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the global crypto community has been actively helping fight against the aggressor. Donations of digital assets to charity foundations were made by cryptocurrency exchanges and ordinary users. Also, charity NFT collections like “Avatars for Ukraine” were released.

Kharkiv-based exchange WhiteBIT, which offers a platform for buying and selling cryptocurrency, belongs to companies that are not indifferent to the situation in Ukraine. Led by Volodymyr Nosov, the WhiteBIT exchange has been actively helping the country from the very beginning of the war. Since most of the company’s team members are from Kharkiv, a city that was heavily shelled, WhiteBIT empathizes greatly with the victims of the war and seeks by all means to hasten the return of peace.

In addition to fundraising campaigns, the WhiteBIT crypto exchange has started cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

“WhiteBIT has offices in different countries. We have the ability, resources, and desire to help Ukrainians who have been forced to leave the country. The company has technical, informational, and IT potential, which, I am sure, will be useful to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ukraine and will help bring peace in Ukraine”, says Volodymyr Nosov, CEO of WhiteBIT.

Also, the WhiteBIT exchange, with its partners Whitepay, launched a platform for fundraising in digital assets and national currencies. According to Nosov, more than $4 million has already been raised through this platform for humanitarian aid and support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Anyone can quickly and easily make a donation using a crypto wallet or a bank card.

On the 6th of May, Nosov announced that Whitepay had become an official partner of United24, an initiative of the President of Ukraine. It means that all crypto donations to the United24 foundation are made through this crypto processing platform. Nosov adds that as part of this partnership, Whitepay will allow accepting donations in most currencies of the world and more than 100 digital assets and will provide control over payments and their security.

Volodymyr Nosov expressed his gratitude to Volodymyr Zelensky and Mykhailo Fedorov and added that: “It is up to you and me to build the future of Ukraine, raise children and scale businesses, and implement joint projects, which we will certainly be proud of.”

Considering all of the above, we expect new initiatives and useful partnerships from Volodymyr Nosov, the WhiteBIT exchange, and WhiteBIT’s Kharkiv team ahead.
