‘Wheel Of Fortune LIVE!’ To Tour 60 Cities In Fall 2022

“Wheel of Fortune” is going on the road.

And the road show makes a lot of sense. Immersive experiences are all the rage these days for two reasons: folks are trying to get outside and quickly mingle between Covid-19 surges and entertainment properties, knowing this, are trying to find ways to bolster their marketshare and re-engage their audiences. What better way to do that than to engage folks with super shareable experiences paired with the opportunity to buy plenty of merch?

Wheel of Fortune’s first ever theatrical road tour kick off September 8, in Owensboro, Kentucky, heads to bigger cities like St. Louis, Memphis and Birmingham, before hitting up Cherokee Nation casinos and heading to Atlanta, Charlotte and eventually the east cost before coming back to the midwest in October to Detroit, Akron and the Chicago area. The tour heads west to Washington and California before returning to Montana, South Dakota, Wisconsin and ending on December 10 in the Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake, Minnesota.

Basically, with 60 or so locations over the course of a few months, there is a close by tour stop for every person who wants to participate in “Wheel of Fortune LIVE!

“This partnership with Right Angle presents an opportunity to expand our reach to give more people a live experience as close to being on the televised show as you can get without actually being in the studio,” said Suzanne Prete, Executive Vice President, Game Shows for Sony Pictures Television. “We look forward to providing this incredible local immersive experience to people who might not otherwise make it out to Los Angeles to be on the set with Pat and Vanna.”

During this show, guests can audition, get on stage and “feel like they stepped into the game show itself.” They won’t be able to meet Vanna White or Pat Sajak, but they will be able to spin a replica Wheel and solve puzzles for real prizes, which include a trip to Paris, $10,000 cash and a trip to Hawaii.

Typically, in order to appear on “Wheel of Fortune,” a person must travel to California and get selected to be a part of the audience.

This North American tour is produced by Right Angle Entertainment in partnership with Sony Pictures Television and UTA. “Wheel of Fortune” is in its 39th season and is one of the longest running televised game shows in American history. Sajak in December marked his 40th anniversary as the face of the iconic game show in 1981, after taking over from former host Chuck Woolery. Since then, the most recent spin off has been “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune,” which just this past December helped ABC nab the top ratings spot for the final Monday primetime of 2021 with a repeat of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune with 3.66 million viewers, the highest viewership for that evening.
