The two benchmarks opened higher after a Kremlin official said that Moscow was willing to send a delegation to Belarus to meet with the Ukrainian government, suggesting Russian President Vladimir Putin remained open to negations. Earlier Friday, the Ukrainian capital came under renewed bombing.
