Aave, the DeFi giant has captured a crucial hire on an important individual from one of the biggest and most popular social media platforms, after Aave teased a possible social media network of web3 for months. The former lead data scientist of Twitter Spaces, Julien Gaillard, recently announced that he is stepping down from the position and going away from the social media platform, to be the head of data science at Aave, the lending colossal.
Julien announced the stepping down and joining Aave on Twitter on 7 January where he started by saying that it’s a new year and a new job. He has been with Twitter for 4 years and is now joining Aave as data science head and also honored to simultaneously work with Stani Kulechov & the team to make web3’s future better.

Aave runs on the Ethereum blockchain and is a decentralized money market that allows its users to borrow and lend numerous cryptocurrencies and it separates itself from others in the industry due to the variety of crypto assets it allows to borrow, lending which will give a passive income to the lender for letting others borrow your crypto assets. Stani Kulechov is the founder of Aave, who has been constantly teasing a possible social media network and has gone a lot far in doing so. Kulechov, once even said that the protocol was considering Twitter on Ethereum.
