Twice’s ‘Ready To Be’ Outsold The Next 11 Bestselling Albums Combined

K-pop group Twice has proved their immense popularity once again by racking up a truly impressive sales sum–one few other names in the music industry can manage these days.

Twice’s latest album, Ready to Be, debuts at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart. This weekly list ranks the albums and EPs that have sold the most copies, unlike the Billboard 200, which takes into account streams and individual track sales.

According to Luminate, Ready to Be sold 145,500 copies in its first week of availability. This is easily enough to make it the bestselling album in the U.S. by far. In fact, Twice’s latest effort outsold the next 11 bestselling albums in America this week…combined. That group includes popular projects from Taylor Swift, Pink, and Miley Cyrus.

Speaking of Cyrus… Ready to Be outsold the No. 2 bestseller, Miley Cyrus’ new album Endless Summer Vacation, more than two and a half times over. Cyrus’ latest album sold just over 55,000 copies upon its arrival.

Interestingly, Twice is one of four K-pop acts currently present inside the top 10 on the Top Album Sales chart. They join Tomorrow X Together, NCT 127, and Stray Kids in the upper reaches of the tally.

This isn’t the first time Twice has topped the Top Album Sales chart. Ready to Be is their third album to rise all the way to the throne. They first hit the summit in 2021 with Taste of Love and doubled their career sum last year with Between 1&2.

Twice’s new set also debuts at No. 1 on the World Albums chart, which they’re used to conquering at this point. The band has dominated that list with five different projects. Ready to Be also opens in second place on the all-genre Billboard 200. It comes in behind only Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time, which earns a second week atop that ranking. Somewhat surprisingly, it does best Cyrus, who was making a play for the summit.
