Top 10 Movies And Shows On Netflix: July 11, 2022

Here are the top ten movies and TV shows on NetflixNFLX
in the United States for July 11, 2022. Each day, I will update this list and observe the trends that change from day to day, week to week.

July 11: Top 10 Movies on Netflix

  1. The Girl in the Picture
  2. The Sea Beast
  3. Sing 2
  4. 12 Strong
  5. The Man from Toronto
  6. Mean Girls
  7. Wanted
  8. The Dark Knight Rises
  9. Leave No Trace
  10. Big Daddy

That’s now five consecutive days for The Girl in the Picture in the top position. While true crime documentaries typically perform well on Netflix, The Girl in the Picture could very well be the most successful since American Murder: The Family Next Door nabbed seven straight days in first place back in October 2020. And with no major new movies hitting the streaming service until Friday, it could very well eclipse that streak.

The Sea Beast grabbed its second straight day in the #2 spot, while Sing 2 once again settled for third place. It remains to be seen if The Sea Beast, a Netflix Original, has the chops to remain ahead of Sing 2, which has now been on the Top 10 charts for 19 consecutive days, with 17 of those showings spent in either first or second place.

The only new entry to the list today is 12 Strong, a 2018 war movie starring Chris Hemsworth and Michael Shannon. In fact, this is the film’s first-ever appearance since the Top 10 charts were established in February 2020.

Elsewhere, The Man from Toronto moved back down to the #5 position in its 17th day on the charts, while Mean Girls declined to the sixth-place position in its seventh day. The remaining movies have occupied the bottom of the Top 10 list for several days now.

July 11: Top 10 Shows on Netflix

  1. Stranger Things
  2. Alone
  3. The Umbrella Academy
  4. The Flash
  5. Boo, Bitch
  6. The Longest Night
  7. The UnXplained with William Shatner
  8. The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch
  9. How to Build a Sex Room
  10. All American

Once Netflix reveals the number of hours people spent watching the top shows this week, Stranger Things could very well find itself separated from the pack. Squid Game accrued 1.65 billion hours of watch time during its run, and last week the fourth season of Stranger Things crossed over the 1 billion mark. And soon enough it could pass Squid Game altogether.

So it’s no surprise to see Stranger Things at the top once again today, bringing its current #1 streak to 11 days. Of Season 4’s 50 days on the charts so far, 42 have been spent in the top spot.

Once again, The Umbrella Academy relinquished its stronghold on second place to Alone, which is greatly outperforming its showing last year on the charts. That now marks seven straight days for the reality show, while The Umbrella Academy improved its Top 10 streak to 19 days. The action series is still chasing its second season’s 43-day streak in 2020.

The rest of the Top 10 is fairly similar to yesterday. The Flash (which has now spent four straight days on the charts) was #4, Boo, Bitch (three days) was #5, The Longest Night (three days) was #6, and The UnXplained (16 days) was #7. Meanwhile, The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch nabbed its second day on the charts.

The only new addition in the #9 spot was How to Build a Sex Room, which pushed All American all the way down to tenth place. This could very well be the end for the CW series, which has enjoyed 41 consecutive days on the Top 10 charts. It looks as though All American will fall short of its 2021 performance when it scored 46 straight days on the charts.
