Tom Segura Set To Bring Two New Specials To Netflix

Tom Segura is set to bring two new stand-up specials to NetflixNFLX
. The popular comedian, author, and podcast host is set to bring his fifth and sixth comedy specials to the streamer. The first special is slated to premiere in 2023.

On Netflix, Segura has already released his specials Ball Hog, Disgraceful and Mostly Stories. His first special, Completely Normal, was released in 2014 after he released two comedy albums, 2012’s White Girls With Cornrows and 2010’s Thrilled. Segura has also appeared in films such as Instant Family, Countdown, Flinch, and The Opening Act.

Segura is having a busy year with his I’m Coming Everywhere – World Tour set to run until 2023. He also recently published his first book of essays, I’d Like to Play Alone, Please.

Many fans will know Segura from his podcasts. He hosts Your Mom’s House with his wife, comedian Christina P. and Two Bears, One Cave with comedian Bert Kreischer. Segura also has a Spanish language podcast, Tom Segura En Español, which showcases the comic’s Peruvian heritage and comedy skills across languages. Segura’s wife, Christina P., has also released multiple Netflix comedy specials, including Mother Inferior, The Degenerates and most recently, Mom Genes.

There is no word on the names of new specials from Segura or a specific release date. However, Netflix has several upcoming specials in the pipeline, including a 2022 slate that will include new specials from Jo Koy, Patton Oswalt and Nick Kroll. Netflix is also set to release two non-English comedy specials from Rodrigo Marques and Liss Pereira in Portuguese and Spanish, respectively.

Netflix’s 2023 slate includes new specials from Segura, Ricky Gervais, Hasan Minhaj, Mo’Nique, Ali Wong and several non-English specials. Netflix and its ‘Netflix is a Joke’ brand have consistently made stand-up comedy part of its original programming roster. The streamer seems to be keeping that commitment to stand-up content going forward.
