Today’s ‘Wordle’ Answer #273: Saturday, March 19th Solution

Saturday is here and for many kids around the country, Spring Break is almost over. That’s certainly the case in the Kain household, though we still have a couple days left before it’s back to school for the munchkins.

I don’t know about you but I’m ready for Spring. I’m ready for Summer. I’m done with cold and snow and dark. I want sunshine and late sunsets and the smell of barbeque.

Spring is nice also. We have crabapple trees that turn bright pink in April. The blossoms never last long, but they’re beautiful in their brevity.

I’m getting sidetracked, aren’t I? We’re here for the Wordle! Let’s take a look at today’s…

Today’s Wordle#273 Answer

Naturally, spoilers follow. We’ll start with a hint then move on to the answer.

The hint: You may.

And the answer is . . . .

Allow!

So this one was hard for me, though I suppose if I’d had a different starting word it could have gone better. Great was anything but a great starting word (though The Great on Hulu is a terrific show that’s surprisingly timely given current geopolitical events). Spain popped into my head next (it’s a long story, and not a happy one) and only served to eliminate even more letters.

At this point I’d gotten rid of two vowels and several of the more common consonants. I figured I’d come up with a word that used the last two vowels and guessed aloud. That was more like it! With aloof I narrowed it down. Three greens. Still, it took me a while to even come up with my next guess. I was s sure alloy was going to be correct I almost didn’t realize I’d gotten it wrong.

With just one guess left, this one turned into a real nail-biter. But I quickly stumbled on the ‘W’ in my unused letters and had my answer. I’ll allow it.

Happy weekending my dear Wordlers! See you on the flipside!
