Today’s ‘Wordle’ Answer #262: Tuesday, March 8th Solution

March seems to be marching along at quite the clip. How is it already the 8th?

We’ve dipped into week two of the third month of the year—a month that sees winter end and spring begin.

Wordle has managed to remain a viral sensation throughout winter of 2022, and seems poised to survive just a bit longer. I, for one, prefer it to the last global craze.

It’s been a long, hard road through hell these last two years, but maybe there actually is light at the end of the tunnel. Maybe, finally, we’re headed back to something resembling normal.

Or maybe the world is ending. Either way, you might as well play some puzzle games.

Today’s Wordle #262 Answer

Alright, on to today’s Wordle solution. Naturally, we must offer up a spoiler warning just in case you’ve somehow gotten this far—past the headline and the sub-header and all the rest—without realize that this is a guide that spoils the answer. Of course, before we do that, a hint:

Queen Gertrude’s famous eulogy for Ophelia after her son waxed poetic about a skull.

My first guess—share—ended up being a pretty decent one, giving me the ‘S’ in the right place and an ‘E’ in yellow.

I had a feeling that we’d have a double ‘E’ in this word and I ran with it. I’m not sure why, but steep also ended up being a very lucky guess, giving me essentially four letters in the right spot, leaving just the second box grey.

From there, it was just a guessing game. I thought of sleet (probably because it’s been snowing a lot) before I came to sweet, but at least I didn’t waste time on skeet.
