Today’s ‘Wordle’ Answer #237: Friday, February 11th Solution

It’s Friday at last! TGIF!

You’re (hopefully) almost done with the work or school week, but Wordlers never rest. It’s time to solve today’s puzzle!

Wordle, which was recently purchased by The New York Times, remains one of the biggest surprise hits of 2022, having grown from a tiny niche game in October to a viral sensation played by millions daily.

Wordle, created as a gift for developer Josh Wardle’s wife during the pandemic, is simple to learn but can still be a tough little puzzle game—testing your vocabulary, puzzle-solving skills and luck!

Today’s word is a bit tricky—pesky vowels!—but don’t let it stress you out. I have hints and the solution below.

Today’s Wordle #237 Answer

SPOILER WARNING!!! Next up is today’s answer!

Before we go further, a hint: dolor de estomago

And the answer is . . . .

This was a natural progression from first word to fourth. Each guess got me that much closer. None—until the last one—was a major leap ahead.

I started with TRIAL, giving me ‘R’ and ‘L’ and eliminating two vowels.

BLURB was a risk, but it got me a ‘U’ and then the ‘L’ in the right spot. FLOUR got me ‘R’ in the right spot and meant that the next word had to start with ‘U’—greatly limiting the word options. In fact, only ULCER came to mind. But it was the right word!

Not a very pleasant word, mind you, but the right one!
