Today’s Wordle #532 Hints, Clues And Answer For Saturday, December 3rd

The first weekend of December is upon us and I am ready for it. I am ready for December. For Christmas. For Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. The sun is setting on 2022, and days are getting shorter. Night is coming earlier and daylight is more precious than at any other time of the year.

December 21st—the Winter Solstice—is the shortest day of the year. After that, the days will start to grow. Sunlight will fade a little bit more slowly. As winter wears on and deepens and the cold sets in, at least the sun will shine that much brighter until Spring springs forth on March 20th, 2023.

It’s an ebb and flow. The days lengthen from the first day of winter until the first day of summer, then shorten for the rest of the year. We are here in the last dark days of Autumn. Winter is coming, but even though it brings cold, it also brings new light.

And with that in mind, let’s light up this Wordle.

Today’s Wordle Solution (Spoilers)

The Hint: A chest without the treasure.

The Clue: There’s a double vowel in this one.

The Answer:

This was one of the more ironic or, perhaps, coincidental combinations of first guess-to-answer I’ve ever had. I guessed heart and the answer was torso, where the heart resides (at least physically; we all know the heart that matters lives in our mind).

Heart was also a very good guess, slashing my total options down to just 25. I took the yellow boxes of ‘R’ and ‘T’ and guessed torts with my second choice. That’s an odd guess but I wanted another vowel and I wanted to experiment with the letters I had and it ended up being perfect. I had just one option remaining and even though I didn’t realize that at the time, it was pretty obvious what the answer would be. The yellow ‘S’ could only go in the fourth box and TORS really doesn’t end with much other than an ‘O.’

Torso for the win. And with some heart. Huzzah!

(Wordle Bot also got three, so he gets to Huzzah as well, as though a silly robot even knows what that means! Harumph!)
