Today’s ‘Wordle’ #371 Hint And Answer: Saturday, June 25th

Here we are again. Another weekend sprawled out ahead of us. Another Wordle to solve.

The news cycle never really slows down these days. Major political change and upheaval seems constant. War, climate change, wildfires, global pandemics. It’s all rather exhausting.

Wordle remains a brief refuge from all that. A daily puzzle game to take our mind off bigger, more horrible things—and something we can all do together, regardless of race, creed or political affiliation. United by literacy.

Today’s Wordle is a bit of a tricky one simply because it’s not a word you use on a day-to-day basis. Let’s take a look.

Today’s Wordle #371 Hint & Answer

Spoilers ahead! You’ve been warned!

The hint: One way to describe someone with small eyes.

And the answer is . . . .

My first guess this time around was a pretty good one—and one of Wordle Bot’s ‘favorite’ opening words. Normally crate cuts down the 2,309 possible solutions to just 73 but I fared even better today, reducing that total to just 8.

Beans actually reduced the remaining possible solutions to just 1 but I didn’t think of it. I guessed beach foolishly, somehow spacing that I’d already eliminated ‘C’ in my first guess. (Wordle Bot was severely disappointed with me and rightfully so).

Thankfully, after a bit of head-scratching I came up with the actual answer on guess #4: beady for the win—as in, ‘The schoolmaster was tall and thin with a hunched back and a deep scowl on his gaunt face. His beady little eyes stared out across the classroom, darting from one student to the next.”

Have a lovely weekend, dearest Wordlers!
