Today’s ‘Wordle’ #343 Answer And Hint: Saturday, May 28th Solution

It’s Saturday. Birds are chirping. A gentle breeze is blowing. Above, the sky is blue and the sun is shining. You should probably guess today’s Wordle while sitting on a porch or in a park somewhere, or lazing about in your yard. This is no day for sitting inside a stuffy room. This is a day for frolicking in the tall grass, lackadaisical and carefree.

Today’s Wordle is a pretty good one. A strong opening word should help you a lot with today’s word, but it may still prove challenging.

So, without further adieu, let’s take a look at today’s Wordle hint and answer.

But first, spoilers ahead! There are spoilers! Spoiler Warning! Be warned!

Today’s hint is: slunk, sneaked, snuck, tip-toed

And the answer is . . .

This is one of those words that is absolutely kind of a tricky one, but that also is very clearly the reason why crane is the best starting word. Crane would have given me the ‘C’ and the ‘R’ in green on guess #1 and the ‘E’ in yellow. Irate got me the ‘R’ in green and two letters in yellow. Not quite as good, no doubt about it.

Trope was a very good follow-up, however. Ye olde Wordle Bot tells me that my opening word is ‘a great opening word’ that normally gets the possible solutions down to 63. This time, however, it got them down to just 8.

But Wordle Bot disagrees that trope was a good word, giving me a 34/100 on the guess. I cut the remaining solutions down to just two and Wordle Bot (more like Wordle Butt!) says my guess is bad? I should have guessed crest apparently. This feels overly harsh, but whatever. Stupid bot.

Since I had two solutions left—erupt and crept—my next guess was “both lucky and smart” so I guess I’m just a terrible player of this game, despite getting it in three. Sigh.

Have a lovely Saturday, dearest Wordlers! See you next time!
