Today’s Wordle #214 Answer: Wednesday January 19th Solution

Every day, I get on my phone at about midnight and solve the latest Wordle word puzzle.

The game is the perfect blend of challenge and casual fun, and the best part is, you only play once a day so it doesn’t occupy too much of your time.

The viral puzzle game is a huge hit, though it remains a diamond in the rough for many reasons, chief among them the fact that creator Josh Wardle hasn’t monetized the game at all.

No ads, no microtransactions, no pay-gates—Wordle isn’t even on the App Store or Google Play.

Read on for a summary of the rules, or skip ahead for today’s Wordle #214 word of the day answer. Spoilers ahead.

How To Play Wordle

The rules are simple enough. Players get six guesses to figure out the daily word. You have six rows with five boxes in each row, each representing five letter words. The Wordle answer is always five letters long.

When you guess the right letter in the wrong spot, the box will turn yellow. When you guess the right letter in the right spot, the box will turn green. Missed guesses are grey.

Using logic, vocabulary knowledge and puzzle acumen, you must take the yellow and green letters and scramble them up into new words, guessing new letters to go with them until you either guess the right word and win, or use up all six guesses and lose.

Something you score.

Today’s Wordle Word Of The Day #214

The Wordle word of the day #214 answer is POINT. That’s a point for me!

Actually this one took me longer than the last few. Five guesses! After STINT and GLINT I was at a loss for a good long while, too, looking over the remaining letters and feeling a certain sense of dismay.

Then “P” jumped out at me and I knew POINT had to be the word! Hope you’re all having as much fun with this word puzzle game as I am. Happy puzzling, young padawans!
