The Most Romantic All-Inclusive Hotels In The U.S.

From a luxury lodge off the coast of Georgia to a Scandinavian-style retreat in the woods of Montana, here’s where to book your next romantic getaway.

There was a time, not long ago, when the words “all-inclusive hotel” were met with slight contempt.

However, times have changed, and the bar for high-quality all-inclusive hotels has gone way up with them. One of the fastest growing segments in the travel and hospitality space according to Travel Pulse, all-inclusive hotels—which is broadly defined as a bundled deal that includes hotel, food, beverages and activities — has not only seen an unprecedented demand from travelers in recent years, but major hotel brands from IHG, Hyatt and Hilton have been quick to heed the call in the race to expand into the ever-growing, all-inclusive market space.

In a 2022 consumer study commissioned by Wyndham Hotels, travelers decision to book an all-inclusive vacation really comes down to one key factor: ease. According to their findings, 75% of travelers said they believe the best and easiest way to travel right now is to book an all-inclusive trip, with 77% of respondents saying that an all-inclusive vacation is the least stressful way to travel.

With an estimated 1,500 all-inclusive hotels around the world — the bulk of which can be found in Mexico, the Dominican Republic and across The Caribbean— the U.S. is home to a growing contingent of luxury all-inclusive offerings that are upping the inclusive ante. In place of subpar drinks and all you can buffets, guests can expect activities that skew heavy on the adventure spectrum, while enjoying garden and farm to table dining experiences, wine pairings and of course plenty of time for rest and relaxation. Just in time for Valentines Day, if you’re in search for your next domestic getaway, here are seven of the most romantic all-inclusive hotels in the U.S.

The Green O, Montana

Beyond the iron gates and set amongst 37,000 acres of woodlands in Western Montana, The Green O opened in 2021, and with 12-luxurious accommodations (called hauses) including four tree-haus’, four green haus’, three round haus’, and one light haus, this exclusive all- inclusive is without a doubt one of the most romantic places to post up in the U.S. right now.

Each haus comes with its own jacuzzi and fireplace, and direct access to miles of hiking, biking and snow-shoeing trails. Guests at the Green O are also afforded access to amenities and activities at the The Resort at Paws Up, and from dogsledding or snowmobiling to a nearby ghost town to clay shooting, fly-fishing, cattle drives and trail rides along the Blackfoot River, there’s shortage of adventure to be had here.

While all meals, beverages and some activities are included, the centerpiece of this one-of-a-kind all-inclusive hotel is the Social Haus. Serving as the sole restaurant at The Green O, from gourmet breakfast and coffee, cream and freshly baked pastries delivered right to your door each morning, to a five-star lunch or multi-course tasting menu for dinner, whatever you do don’t miss a chance to try one of their specialty made to order pizza’s for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own haus.

Bungalows Key Largo, Florida

With 135-bungalows, each with its own bougainvillea-laden veranda, soaking tub, outdoor garden shower and matching beach cruisers, Bungalows Key Largo on the Northernmost island of the Florida Keys is an idyllic all-inclusive waterfront oasis. With a variety of restaurants on property, dining experiences include multi-course fine dining with wine pairings at Bogie & Bacall’s, beachside Mexican fare at Sea Señor, and resort-casual seafood at Fish Tales.

There’s also two on-site bars including Hemingways and the Sunset Tiki. Over at the Zen Garden Spa, soak in the eucalyptus steam room or check out the Himalayan salt room. Cap it all off at the sunset pool and jacuzzi. For couples interested in a little on the water adventure, hop on the hotel’s catamaran for a sunset cruise or captain your own ship and set sail through the Everglades or nearby private islands that abound here.

Castle Hot Springs, Arizona

Make your way down the dusty dirt road where Castle Hot Springs provides the perfect backdrop within the Arizona desert to disconnect with the outside world. A luxury adults only all-inclusive resort, with an abundance of nature and adrenaline-fueled activities like the on-site Via Ferrata climbing course and e-biking excursions to wellness programming, farm tours, standup paddle-board yoga and culinary initiatives, the most popular place to post up on property is without a doubt the natural thermal hot springs.

For those looking to really soak in the romance of this magical setting, the resort recently launched a new wellness treatment menu that uses the mineral-rich water from the on-site hot springs along with a new watsu pool for ultimate rest and relaxation.
