Sender Wallet Lifts Out $4.5M Funding from Pantera and Others

The NEAR-based eco-wallet, Sender, recently shared about its funding of $4.5M. It collected the funding in a private round of financing, which was led by the Pantera Capital and the participants such as Crypto.com, Jump Capital, Amber Group, WOO Network, SevenX Ventures, Smrti Labs, D1 Ventures, Puzzle Ventures, Shima Capital, Eniac Ventures, and GFS Ventures. 

It also includes some of the notable projects in the NEAR ecosystem like Octopus Network, Ref Finance, and Paras.

The purpose of this funding used by the Sender, will be in the expansion of its R&D team, wallet ecosystem, and improving the security of wallet.

In April 2022, Sender wallet announced seed round financing from Binance Labs and MetaWeb Ventures. While, the amount of this seed funding was not revealed by Sender.

Sender Wallet and its Future Prospects

Sender wallet has integrated 30 major projects in the NEAR ecosystem. It enabled the connecting of two hardware wallets, Ledger and Keystone. Sender also integrated fiat-to-cryptocurrency service providers Moonpay, Banxa, and Transak which allow users to buy cryptocurrencies in more than 140 countries.

Sender wallet future prospects includes some plans, such as:

  • Sender Swap: Integrating the liquidity of multiple DEXs on NEAR that will give users with a smoother trading experience with lower slippage.
  • Sender Pool: Sender forms its own pledge nodes, that will give wallet users higher returns and more convenient pledge services.
  • Sender Market: This will be one-stop efficient aggregation of NFT markets on the NEAR chain.
  • Sender Pro: With multi-signature hosted wallet that will mainly focus on corporate and investment institution users.
