Revolut Hires Two Marketing Executives to Bolster US Presence

Revolut, one of the fastest-growing financial apps with more than 18 million users worldwide, announced on Friday that it appointed Yuval Rechter as General Manager and Danil Ovechkin as Head of Growth.

According to the press release, both executives will play a pivotal role in the company’s expansion across the United States. Rechter will be responsible for building and scaling Revolut’s brand and business in the country after leading the partnerships’ growth at Flip Social Shopping.

He worked for around seven years at First Media and helped bolster the marketing of several consumer brands like Walmart, HelloFresh, Procter and Gamble, among others.

Statements from the New Revolut Appointments

“It’s an exciting time to be joining Revolut as we further establish and grow our brand in the US. The pandemic has supercharged the digitalization of banking and Revolut is the best answer for US consumers seeking greater value, transparency, and flexibility in how they manage their money. With an exciting roadmap of user-centric product launches and creative campaigns ahead, I look forward to working with the US team to make Revolut a household name,” Rechter commented.

Moreover, Ovechkin arrives at the company after having a tenure of leading growth for Thirty Madison, a health-tech firm. The executive also has vast experience in strengthening consumer brands, such as managing growth marketing for HelloFresh and Ollie.

“Having led growth initiatives for a variety of consumer brands across multiple sectors, I’m thrilled to be at Revolut, a global financial superapp that is so clearly and thoughtfully designed to enhance the financial lives of consumers in the US and around the world. Revolut has built an extraordinary product, cultivating a global reputation and a fervent customer base largely through word-of-mouth as a result. Looking ahead in 2022, we’re hyperfocused on accelerating our marketing efforts and scaling our business in the US,” Ovechkin pointed out.

Last month, Revolut named Ibrahim Dusi, the former Vice President of Retail Banking at Capital One, as the company’s new Chief Risk Officer for Americas.
