OpenSwap integrates Chainlink VRF to power NFT validator program

OpenSwap, a zero slippage DEX aggregator on Binance Smart Chain (BSC), has integrated Chainlink Verifiable Randomness Function (VRF) to help power its NFT transaction validator program, the aggregator announced on Medium. Their Bridge Troll NFTs will have access to an auditable, tamper-proof source of randomness required to make sure their community-focused reward distribution system is verifiably unbiased.

Ensuring a fraud-proof experience

The integration with Chainlink will give OpenSwap users a fraud-proof experience. Interaction with Troll Camp and the OpenSwap Interchain Protocol will be fair and transparent.

Chainlink VRF offers cryptographic proof and creates a random number by combining block data with the oracle node’s pre-committed private key. Cryptographic proof won’t be created unless the VRF process is tamper-proof. The Troll Camp smart contract will only accept random number input with valid cryptographic proof will.

With the integration, Troll Camp participants obtain publicly verifiable and automated assurances that each NFT generated with Chainlink VRF is truly random.

Staking native tokens to collect and upgrade NFTs

With the Bridge Troll series, you can stake native $OSWAP tokens to collect and upgrade NFTs to rise in the ranks of Troll Camp and increase the NFTs’ rarity. Users can increase their Bridge Troll NFTs’ value by serving as a bridge troll (node validator) for Open Interchain Protocol.

Bruce Chau, CEO of OpenSwap, said:

OpenSwap’s Bridge Troll NFTs allow DeFi users to serve as node validators and earn bridge fees upon the release of our single asset cross-chain bridge — Open Interchain Protocol. NFTs with real DeFi utility are hard to come by these days, and our Chainlink VRF integration helps protect the integrity and fairness of this community-focused offering by OpenSwap.

Access to secure RNG enabling independent audits

To make sure Bridge Troll NFTs are generated in a fair, random, and transparent way, community members need access to a secure RNG (random number generator), which they can audit independently.

The OpenSwap team chose Chainlink VRF because generation and on-chain verification of cryptographic proofs secure it and it’s supported by Chainlink’s renowned oracle infrastructure. All of these help guarantee the integrity of each random number supplied to smart contracts.
