NFT Auction for Charity to Support UNHCR’s plan of displaced Afghans protection and assistance

Amidst the Afghanistan control under Taliban and tough situations in the region, UNHCR plans to deploy the support in which Mars Panda NFT will help.

NFT Charity Auction by Mars Panda 

A charity auction organized by an all in one blockchain aggregator, Mars Panda, is aiming to add their support in the awareness of the plight of Afghan families which were displaced after the Taliban takeover in the country. The charity auction will mobilize the funds to UNHCR, which is already working to provide urgent humanitarian assistance.

The Mars Panda NFT Charity Auction is now in its second week. Artists launched more than 30 NFTs from digital and fine arts. Additionally, NFT influencers and professional footballers have also joined the initiative on the NFT marketplace. The Auction is scheduled to close on March 4. 

Afghanistan crisis and UNHCR development till date

Reports say that approx half of Afghanistan’s population is facing acute hunger issues, more than 9 million people are facing displacement from their land, and the education of millions of children has been affected. Other than them, the fundamental rights of women and girls are under threat, but general rights are also under attack. And if we discuss the economy, oh, let’s not talk about it. 

The United Nations Human Rights Council is working for the sake of protection and assistance to displaced people as much as they can. It is estimated to require about $608 million in 2022 to fulfill its goals for this year. The recent Mars Panda NFT Charity Auction will significantly help the organization.

About the NFT charity Auction

The charity auction began with the launch of the first NFT batch on January 31 from VIP contributors. Such a VIP was Venerable Phra Medhivajirodom’s one-stroke painting; he’s himself a UNHCR Patron and a well-respected Buddhist monk from Thailand. 

Some other names include YAM Pgn Hamlatul Arsy, a 2D artist and visual development artist. She has contributed her artwork named Swim against all odds 2021 in the Auction. 

Also, there are NFTs in the Auction consisting of signed jerseys from José Luis Gayà and Carlos Soler from Spanish Football Club Valencia CF. Many artists from various art forms include Abu Jalal bin Sarimon, Dark Zodiac, Anindito Wisnu, Lanzavecchia + Wai, Scrubb, Soul Curry Art, and many more.
