  • MG Motor made an announcement regarding their first metaverse platform dubbed MGverse to offer an immersive experience to its clients.
  • CCO of MG Motors stated that MGVerse is their vision of creating the metaverse for various purposes.
  • Other prominent automobile companies have also entered the metaverse like BMW, Nissan, Hyundai and others.

New Entry In Auto-Moto-Verse

Morris Garages India (MG Motor) have officially launched their metaverse under the titled MGVerse to offer an immersive experience to its clients as well as stakeholders via multiple arenas.

With MGverse, clients will be able to traverse through a digital car buying experience from a three dimensional avatar. Furthermore, the metaverse ais allowing the folks to get their hands over NFTs which they can use in racing games in separate zones present within the MGverse only.

Customers will also be able to take a test ride of the car virtually on remote locations, says the organization.

MGVerse will also have a Car Club zone allowing the folks to explore a car museum and connect with other folks there. Another fascinating feature here is the educational aspect, the knowledge center, where the partners as well as employees will be offered digital training sessions to offer opportunities to upskill.

The CCO of MG Motor India, Gaurav Gupta, stated that, through MGverse, they desires to rapidly develop, improvise, innovate and traverse new solutions to keep intensifying the experience of their consumers in future.

The platform will be available via mobile devices and other web browsers with strategies to make similar experiences accessible for VR headsets. MGverse will be executed in phases, with the initial phase being implemented during the upcoming Indian festive season, says the organization.

Other Big Guns In Auto-Moto-Verse

Morris Garages is not the very first automobile entry in the metaverse. Hyundai has joined forces with Unity, BMW has joined hands with Nvidia, bith with the vision of developing digitally accessible 3D twins of their spaces.

Another prominent name roaming this sector is Nissan, which made its move into the space with its 12V Invisible to Visible AR concept which was revealed during CES 2019.

WayRay also built a concept car dubbed Holograktor, which is described by “metaverse on wheels.”

In the end, I want to say that, distinct types of organizations are entering this booming space, whether it is a fashion brand like Gucci, Adidas, banks like Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, or any other organization.

The point is, well this is my favorite part, if the majority of organizations and folks are showing their interest in the metaverse, is it possible that the concept of Ready Player One will come to life someday?

Living the movie we love sounds interesting to me.
