Lady Gaga and Doechii have a banger on their hands with their first collaboration, “Runway.” The track was written and recorded for the upcoming film The Devil Wears Prada 2, the long-awaited sequel to The Devil Wears Prada, which became a pop culture milestone 20 years ago.
Several weeks before The Devil Wears Prada 2 brings Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci back to the halls of Runway – where the dance cut gets its name – Gaga and Doechii teamed up to add a little sass to the franchise. This week, “Runway” debuts on multiple charts in the United Kingdom, earning both women a new top 10 hit on one of multiple lists.
Lady Gaga and Doechii’s “Runway” Debuts Inside the Top 10
On the Official Singles Downloads chart, the U.K.’s ranking of the top-selling tracks on platforms like iTunes, “Runway” barely manages to catwalk its way into the uppermost tier. This week, “Runway” opens at No. 10.
Doechii Scores a Fourth Career Top 10 With “Runway”
Doechii collects only her fifth career appearance on the Official Singles Downloads chart and her fourth top 10. “Denial Is a River,” her first smash to make it to the tally, missed out on breaking into that competitive space, and instead it topped out at No. 27. Doechii ruled for one turn a year ago with “Anxiety,” while another two tracks, “ExtraL” with Blackpink star Jennie and another version of “Anxiety” – one credited to Sleepy Hallow, which makes use of Doechii’s own solo “Anxiety” – climbed as high as No. 10.
Lady Gaga Reaches 60 Bestsellers in the U.K.
Gaga has been in this game for a lot longer than Doechii, and so it’s not surprising that she has racked up many more smashes than her partner. “Runway” marks her sixtieth bestseller in the country and her twenty-fourth top 10.
Lady Gaga and Doechii Return With Their First 2026 Hit
Both Gaga and Doechii score their first new hit on the Official Singles Downloads chart in 2026. Doechii first appeared on the tally in January 2025 and, in March, saw “ExtraL” and both versions of “Anxiety” launch.
It’s only been a few months since Gaga earned two new bestsellers. “The Dead Dance” peaked at No. 2 in the fall of 2025, while “Kill for Love” – another track added to the slightly-extended deluxe version of her album Mayhem – only ever climbed as high as No. 93 in the two weeks it spent somewhere on the tally.
“Runway” Just Misses the Sales Chart’s Top 10
“Runway” only makes it to the top 10 on one roster, though it nearly doubles that performance. Doechii and Gaga settle for eleventh place on the Official Singles Sales roster, which is more competitive than the downloads-only rundown because of its inclusion of sales of CDs, cassettes, and vinyl.
Teddy Swims Beats Lady Gaga and Doechii
The two Grammy-winning female artists score the second-highest-ranking debut on the current Official Singles Downloads chart. They’re beaten only by Teddy Swims, whose latest release “Mr. Know It All” enters at No. 6. That same order is true when looking at the Official Singles Sales rundown, where “Mr. Know It All” kicks off its time at No. 8 – the sole top 10 debut this time around.

“Runway” manages a top 40 opening on the Official Singles chart, a consumption ranking that takes into account both streams and sales. “Runway” opens at No. 32. The same single underperforms slightly on the Official Streaming tally, where it arrives at No. 73.
The lofty performance of “Runway” on the Official Singles chart, paired with how well it did on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads rundowns, shows that fans of Gaga and Doechii were eager to support the musicians by buying the cut, though a more general streaming audience has yet to turn the track into a summer anthem.
