KPGM Enters Into The Metaverse

  • KPGM has decided to open a metaverse, which is named a ‘collaboration hub’ to connect their employees digitally.
  • What the corporation of KPGM is building (or claiming to be building) is the next version, or the next iteration of the internet– Cliff Justice, KPGM
  • Citi claimed in their April report, that the metaverse provided a business opportunity worth between 8 trillion dollars to 13 trillion dollars by 2030. Justice believes, the statistics are ‘conservative’

The Collaboration Hub

A Fortune 500, Big 4 company, KPGM has realized the potential of Web3 space along with Metaverse. It is a well-known fact that the metaverse is going to be our reality within the next 8 years.

The influence of metaverse has been proven by many multi-billion dollar companies such as:

  • Meta
  • NVIDIA
  • Epic Games
  • Microsoft
  • Apple
  • Decentraland
  • Roblox Corporation
  • Unity Software
  • Snapchat

Now after all these, KPGM has decided to put its name firmly on the list by deciding to open a metaverse, which is named ‘collaboration hub’ to connect its employees digitally.

This is being built through Web3, a decentralized version of the internet built on the revolutionary technology known as the blockchain.

In order to build this promising metaverse, also known as the collaboration hub, they are collectively making a 30 million dollar investment.

The Next Iteration Of The Internet

Now, it is a common misconception to assume that maybe they are building a mere extension of the internet, such as VR and AR. In reality, what the corporation of KPGM is building (or claiming to be building) is the next version or the next iteration of the internet.

It is going to have all the features which the internet had but with a deeper level of interactions.

This statement has been given by Cliff Justice, KPGM U.S. leader of enterprise innovation.

The Future Of Metaverse And KPGM

This collaboration hub will focus on mainly:

  • Education
  • Collaboration
  • Training
  • Events
  • Workshops

Above mentioned, according to Justice, are the areas that are being focused on right now, by the KPGM Metaverse.

Despite these, they aim to expand the scalability of the hub soon. The potential areas they are going to enter are:

  • Health Care
  • Consumer and Retail
  • Media
  • Financial Services

It is clear that the other investment institutions are interested in the Metaverse too. These institutions include JP Morgan Chase and Citi. Citi claimed in their April report, that the metaverse provided a business opportunity worth between 8 trillion dollars to 13 trillion dollars by 2030.

Even after that, Justice of KPGM stated that these claims are ‘conservative’, and they are going to keep exploring the space of Web3 and Metaverse.
