In August, Biden announced his student loan debt plan, which included the cancellation of $10,000 in federal student loan debt for each borrower with an income cap of $125,000 or for couples making less than $250,000 a year, and forgiveness of up to $20,000 for those who received federal Pell Grants and make less than $125,000.
