Belfast and West Side Story led the CCA’s film categories with 11 nominations each, followed by The Power Of The Dog, which received 10. HBO’s Succession led the television categories with eight nods. The Critics Choice Awards were pushed to March from January because of the omicron wave. The Critics Choice Association, which votes on the nominees and winners, is a group of 500 entertainment journalists and critics. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which selects the winners of the Oscars, is made up of film industry professionals.
