‘Hawkeye’ Actor Was Reportedly Helping Stranded Car At Time Of Accident

Renner is recovering from two surgeries performed Monday, Renner’s spokesperson Samantha Mast told CNN, after the actor suffered “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries.”

Mast had earlier said Renner was in “critical but stable condition” after being hospitalized following a “weather-related accident” while plowing snow on New Year’s Day, according to the New York Times.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a “traumatic injury” at Renner’s home Sunday morning before Renner was airlifted to a nearby hospital, the office said in a statement, adding Renner was the only one injured in the accident.

According to the statement, the county’s Major Accident Investigation Team is looking into the accident.
