Gold House Launches Gold Journalism Accelerator To Propel Asian Pacific Journalists, In Partnership With Madison Wells, Forbes, And Rotten Tomatoes

New York, NY – Gold House, the leading cultural ecosystem powering Asian Pacific creatives and companies, is excited to announce the journalists selected for the inaugural class of the Gold Journalism Accelerator. This groundbreaking program, sponsored by Madison Wells, propels leading Asian Pacific writers across entertainment and business through amplification and training opportunities with prominent media outlets Forbes and Rotten Tomatoes. By connecting these talented journalists with influential media companies, the Accelerator aims to significantly increase Asian Pacific representation in media and expand their unique perspectives on a global scale.

The Gold Journalism Accelerator, part of Gold House Futures’ career-changing suite of accelerators for rising creatives, will identify and nurture promising Asian Pacific writers. “We are thrilled to partner with Gold House on this new journalism accelerator program. Newsrooms are best when they reflect diverse backgrounds and voices that are inclusive of the breadth, depth, and nuances of the Asian Pacific community. It is only by supporting Asian Pacific reporters and journalists of color that we can take on the lack of diversity in the media that leaves us vulnerable to making decisions while only ever hearing one perspective,” said Ali Jackson-Jolley, Assistant Managing Editor, DEI&B Initiatives and Content, Forbes.

Handpicked by a distinguished Selection Committee, consisting of top Asian Pacific journalists and media experts, writers in the Accelerator will gain access to invaluable career acceleration, skill-building opportunities, and an extensive network of industry professionals to advance their inclusion in cultural discourse.

“At Madison Wells, we champion emerging and distinct voices across all media sectors, and we’re delighted to support Gold House in kickstarting the Gold Journalism Accelerator,” explained Arthur Chan, Senior Vice President of Business & Legal Affairs at Madison Wells. “Journalists influence taste, culture, and public opinion, and their role in the media ecosystem could not be more vital today. Together with Forbes and Rotten Tomatoes, we’re incubating a new generation of Asian Pacific voices in hopes of encouraging broader perspectives and dialogue around film, television, theater, and the important contemporary issues that affect us all.”

The Accelerator’s inaugural class brings together journalists who have published in Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, TechCrunch, and other major outlets in addition to entrepreneurial media pursuits. The journalists in this year’s cohort are (in alphabetical order):

Throughout the program, selected writers will receive one-on-one mentorship sessions as well a program of immersive masterclasses covering a series of topics required for success in today’s multi-platform media landscape, including Personal Branding, Navigating Media Relationships, and Building an Online Presence. Selected writers will also be included in a prestigious directory of preferred Asian Pacific writers and will have special access to major community moments and narratives. Finally, the selected writers will join the Gold House Futures Network, the foremost invite-only network for rising Asian Pacific leaders, creatives, and tastemakers, and will connect with current media and cultural leaders in Gold House’s membership.

“Rotten Tomatoes is committed to elevating diverse critics whose work enriches global conversations and provides fans with recommendations on upcoming films and TV Shows,” said Jenny Jediny, Director of Critic Engagement at Rotten Tomatoes. “We are excited to work with Gold House to shine a light on Asian Pacific voices to help foster a critics pool that truly reflects the richness and diversity of our society while connecting them with fans from around the world.”

“By joining forces with Madison Wells, Rotten Tomatoes, and Forbes, we can collectively power cultural change through a transformative shift in the media industry. Together, we will pave the way for a more inclusive and representative journalism landscape, where Asian Pacific writers play an integral role in shaping narratives that define our present and future,” said Christine Yi, General Manager of Gold House Futures.
