Genesis Digital Asset Secures 708 MW in Capacity

  • The well-known Bitcoin mining firm, Genesis Digital Asset, announced it has secured 708 megawatts (MW) in capacity.
  • The firm further revealed about its opening of 130 full-time jobs in the U.S.

Andrey Kim, chief operating officer of Genesis Digital Asset, speaks about their company expansion in the U.S. He said that the company is pleased with “the pace” of bitcoin mining. It must be noted that Genesis Digital shared the details this Wednesday.

Genesis Digital Asset’s U.S. Expansion

The firm is on its way to expand more in the U.S. It shared about its 708 MW power gathering. While the firm is mining bitcoin in four locations in Texas, three locations in South Carolina, and a location in Carolina. And the company secured 708 MW from all these locations in the first half of 2022.

Company further explained its job openings in the U.S. which includes 130 full-time jobs and around 495 construction jobs for the locals. Lydia Nyarko, global head of human resources at Genesis Digital, discusses their job openings. She said,  “Every day, we are given a chance to create meaningful and lasting relationships by creating job opportunities for the local communities in which we operate. Remaining intentional and impactful is important to GDA as we expand our candidate placement.”

On the other hand, the executive of Genesis Digital said, “Witnessing our organisation grow has been incredibly fulfilling. Bitcoin mining offers access to an exciting career path with lots of potential to grow as the industry becomes larger and larger in the years ahead.” Between the crypto market downtown, bitcoin mining operations continue its growth.

The COO, Andrey Kim, also said that, “Our team has worked hard to scale our capacity and while the market remains volatile, we remain more committed than ever to executing on our mission to provide the infrastructure that powers the Bitcoin network.” As per the announcement of Genesis, it shared about its development of new mining centres and its acquisition of thousands of bitcoin miners from Canaan the previous year.

However, another bitcoin mining firm, Cleanspark, announced its plug-in-ready facility with 86 MW of capacity this week. While it acquired thousands of miners at discounted prices in the previous month. Furthermore, Cipher Mining Inc., the mining firm, completed a 40 MW facility in Alborz, Texas. Also, Kryptovault AS, the miner, announced its expansion in the north of Arctic Circle to minimise the electricity rates.
