Ever since its launch, Shibarium has been making headlines every few weeks. The network registered millions of transactions in weeks alongside 1.3 million wallets.
Now, the L2 network is gaining support across the crypto exchange industry. Gate.io, one of the biggest exchanges based on user base and volumes, has joined the list of exchanges to enable Shibarium support.
With the new integration, traders can now withdraw BONE (Shibaswap tokens) through Gate.io to their Shibarium wallet. Lucie, the marketing lead for Shiba Inu, talked about the development on X/Twitter.
The tweet read that the latest milestone has elevated onramps on Shibarium. As Gate.io facilitates fiat deposit options, users can now buy BONE on the platform. These tokens can be moved to Shibarium to explore its dApp ecosystem.
The Shiba Inu community is celebrating the integration as expected. Getting top-tier exchange support is an issue many blockchains go through. However, Shibarium seems to be overcoming the hurdle quite comfortably.
With over 1.6 million holders, Shiba Inu is one of the biggest crypto projects in the market. Adding support for its dedicated blockchain opens Gate.io to global exposure as well. The exchange is also set to attract more trading volumes and traders with the move.
Gate.io is not the only platform announcing support for Shibarium in recent months. GroveX, an Australia-based exchange, also enabled support for Shibarium a couple of months ago.
Shytoshi Kusama, the team lead for Shibarium, has also talked about discussing additional integrations for the network with several exchanges. Given the pace at which Shibarium is making progress, it is expected to outperform several well-established blockchains in no time.
